AZTECA AMERICA ANNOUNCES PLAN TO OPEN NEWS STUDIO IN MEXICO CITY
AGREEMENT WITH PARENT COMPANY TV AZTECA SECURES CLOSER TIES WITH THE NEWS AGENCY FUERZA INFORMATIVA AZTECA
Los Angeles , CA , March 20, 2008 – A zteca América announced today that it will open a news studio at its parent headquarters in Mexico City to supplement news programming delivered by the network's U.S. based team of correspondents and crew. The new studio is slated to begin broadcasting the week of April 14, 2008.
Vice President of News, María Elena Jáuregui, assured that the two network news broadcasts will continue at 5:30PM/4:30C and 11PM/10C along with the local news broadcasts in Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston and Las Vegas at their regularly scheduled times.
She added, “This agreement with TV Azteca's news division allows us greater access to a larger pool of reporters, bureaus and technology, guaranteeing easier and faster access to breaking news in Mexico and around the world. Sharing facilities with of the Fuerza Informativa Azteca gives us unprecedented access to the fastest growing news agency in Latin America and will certainly give our viewers in the U.S. a better news product.”
