POLITICAL FORUM ‘ISSUES: CARAS Y VOCES' CELEBRATES FIRST SIX MONTHS OF BROADCAST ON AZTECA AMERICA

Washington DC , Jan. 24, 2008 – Azteca America , the fastest-growing Hispanic television network in the United States , is proud to celebrate the political forum “Issues: Caras y Voces” (Issues: Faces and Voices), hosted by veteran Latino journalist Armando Guzmán. The program is part of an initiative spearheaded by Grupo Salinas Chairman Ricardo B. Salinas to educate the community and increase civic participation.

In less than sixth months since its inception, “Issues: Caras y Voces” is already establishing itself as a leading media space for leaders and issues that affect the Latino community. It is the only program of its genre aired on both sides of the border, through Azteca America in the United States , and Proyecto 40 in Mexico.

To celebrate the landmark moment for ‘Issues: Caras y Voces, a reception was held today in Washington DC with community leaders, diplomats, congressional staff members and media.

“We're proud to say that ‘Issues:Caras y Voces' is becoming a benchmark program for expressing important messages to the Latino community with simple, straightforward language,” said Luis J. Echarte, Chairman of Azteca America . “The feedback we have received from guests of the forum has been phenomenal.”

“Issues: Caras y Voces” features top leaders that impact the Hispanic community through one-on-one interviews conducted by Armando Guzmán. Covering the White House and the Capitol for almost two decades, Mr. Guzmán is one of the most respected correspondents in Washington . The interview forum airs every Monday evening during Noticiero Azteca America , the network news broadcast of Azteca America.
